UV-Mapping a Humanoid Figure, Part 5.

In the next step, I arrange the charts making up the head. The nose and the mouth need some tweaking to reduce the stretching.

I cut the charts at the central edge loop and arrange them for stitching. The ears and the back of the head are stitched to the head now, while the cut-outs for the nostrils and the eye cavities remain separate for now. This way, they won't influence any stretch optimization I run on the face.

With all vertices of the face selected, I run Remap->Unfold to optimize the transition from the face to the scalp.

After the unfolding, I do a stretch optimization and stitch in the cut-outs for the nostrils and the eye cavities.
